EFFECTIVE WITH BOTH BIODIESEL AND WASTE / STRAIGHT VEGETABLE OIL!

Bio Control 41 is a biocide specifically designed to combat and control already present microbial growth in stored Biodiesel. Bio control 41 is simple to add and is an excellent method of providing assurances of fuel stability and reduced corrosion issues. Bio Control 41 can be used on all types of Biodiesel and is also effective when dosing to fresh Biodiesel, a batch which has a medium / high level of bacterial growth, or when the tank has high levels of slime and bacterial growth

Leaving a contaminated tank with bacterial growth present will lead to the 'fuel bug' developing further, the fuel bug feeds on the fuel itself and its by product is Slime (its waste) and Water. Water will subsequently rust the inside of untreated steel tanks and could lead to perforation and fuel leakage leading to environmental damage. The Slime will move downstream as fuel is used / distributed, contaminating downstream tanks and blocking filters leading to engine failure

Application

General - Bio Control 41 needs to be added between 5°C and 50°C and will need to be mixed thoroughly to ensure full activation of product. Bio Control 41 will need a reasonable contact time for maximising product effectiveness. We recommend adding after the reation stage, when biodiesel is cooling after it has been filtered and is being transferred to storage tank via high velocity pump and / or Oilybits Static Mixer to aid mixing

Medium / High Levels of Bacterial Growth - We recommend draining the tank to a 1/4 full. Drain any excess water in tank. Remove any sludge and slime deposits on the sides of the tank and clean as best possible. Add the correct dilution rate of Bio Control 41 for the maximum capacity of the tank. Once Bio Control 41 has been added begin filling the tank with biodiesel as normal. Once tank has been filled, drain off any excess water deposits and leave tank to stand for at least 24 hours for its contact perod. Once all completed, fuel is ready for use

General Notes on Additives:

All of the additives we sell can be used together in the same batch of fuel (with a choice of EITHER coldflow 350 OR coldflow 402)
All of the additives we sell must be added to the Biodiesel/WVO individually, they cannot be mixed together and then added to the biodiesel
All of the additives we sell can be added to the Biodiesel/WVO at room temperature, but the Biodiesel/WVO itself must be at the recommended temperature as per the application instructions above
In their raw form the only additives that are classed as 'hazardous' are Bioboost 1000, and Allklear 400 which are flammable, however, when mixed with biodiesel / WVO the resulting mix is not flammable and as such is not hazardous. As these additives are used in such small concentrations with biodiesel they would also not register as harmful to the environment once mixed
