Vplus7 Cetane Improver, Injector Cleaner and Antioxidant Biofuel Additive

Vplus7 is a diesel biofuel additive specially formulated for use with straight vegetable oil (SVO) and diesel blends. It can also be used in vehicles with 100% SVO conversions. Vplus7 is suitable for use with biofuel and biodiesel purchased from a supplier or processed at home. It is designed specifically to address certain problems that can be associated with the use of biofuels in engines

• Improves combustion therefore improves fuel efficiency
• Increase in cetane rating between 2-5 points at lower dosage rate, and 3-7 points at higher dosage rate
• Reduces toxic fuel emissions
• Keeps injectors and fuel system components clean
• Reduces the impact of low-quality vegetable oils such as recycled cooking oil
• Results in noticeable improvements in engine performance
• Stabilises the fuel, reducing filter blockages due to in-tank polymerisation
• Is compatible with any vegetable oil based fuels

NOTE: Vplus7 does not however: thin the biofuel; reduce the acid content in used vegetable oil; or prevent waxing (the formation of solid fats at low temperatures)

Treatent Rate:

Using Vplus7:

Simply add Vplus7 to your fuel tank or mix with biofuel prior to storage. If blending with diesel, the treatment rates refer to the quantity of biofuel, not the total quantity of blended fuel

When using vegetable oils (i.e. not biodiesel), it is essential that the vegetable oils are blended with normal mineral diesel, unless the vehicle is fitted with an appropriate SVO conversion. The ratio depends on your vehicle and the time of year. Running inappropriately strong vegetable oil blends can cause serious damage to your engine or fuel system

Storage of Fuel Biofuels are more biodegradable than mineral oils and must be stored more carefully. Unused food oils can be stored in original unopened containers for at least two years beyond the sell-by date. Likewise cold pressed rapeseed oil will last several years in airtight containers. Used cooking oil (UCO), or biodiesel made from UCO, is much less stable, and should be mixed with Vplus7 prior to any storage. Ideally use within 9 months. If biofuel of any type is stored in non-airtight containers, such as fuel tanks, mix with Vplus7 prior to storage. Use within 6 months

Notes on using SVO biofuel;

• Unless you have a full SVO conversion, SVO fuel must be blended with mineral diesel. The proportion of mineral diesel depends on your diesel car.
• When vegetable oil is cooled below a certain point it will go cloudy. Care should be taken, particularly in winter, as cloudy oil will block your fuel filter
• Contamination with water will lead to more rapid degradation of the oil as well as microbial growth (diesel bug). Some diesel tanks may have a pre-existing diesel bug infestation. In severe cases it is necessary to drain the fuel tank

Vplus7 Safety

• Keep away from heat and ignition sources
• Do not swallow it
• Avoid breathing vapour
• Use with adequate ventilation
• Avoid contact with eyes, skin, and clothes
• Wash thoroughly after handling
• Keep container closed
• Contains ethyl hexyl nitrate

First Aid SKIN:

• Remove contaminated clothing
• Wash exposed area with soap and water
• If symptoms persist, seek medical attention

First Aid EYES:

• Wash eyes with plenty of water for at least 15 minutes, lifting lids occasionally
• Seek Medical Aid

First Aid INHALATION:

• Remove to fresh air
• If not breathing, give artificial respiration
• If breathing is difficult, give oxygen

First Aid INGESTION:

• Give several glasses of milk or water
• Vomiting may occur spontaneously, but DO NOT INDUCE!

Fire Fighting Measures:

• Fire Extinguisher Type: Carbon Dioxide, dry chemical powder or appropriate foam

Fire / Explosion Hazards:

• Vapour may travel considerable distance to source of ignition and flash back.
