Oilybits 120 Litre Bio Diesel Processor

Available with our 120 Litre Conical Tank, this ready assembled, and reliable kit will produce 90 Litres of useable biodiesel per batch. The kit is supplied assembled as far as is practicable for transport, and fitted with 2x 3 pin UK plugs to power the pump and heating element. The only connections required after delivery are connection of a couple of hoses to hose tails (using jubilee clips)

WHATS NOT INCLUDED;

The kit is supplied with an air inlet with adjustment valve for airflow, should you wish to attach an air compressor (not supplied) to purge your WVO or Biodiesel of methanol, and or water. We do not recommend aquarium aerators as they do not provide enough airflow to dry the fuel in a sensible amount of time, and the stones disintegrate in biodiesel. A proper workshop air compressor with 24L reservoir will provide more than enough air to dry your fuel completely in less than 1 hour, without the need for any diffuser or stone.

If you water wash then air dry, and filter your fuel, it is possible to achieve EN standard, or close to it, without using potentially expensive dry wash media.

IMPORTANT SAFETY NOTICE - NEVER leave plastic tank reactors unattended and ALWAYS isolate power to the entire system when you are not present. If your reactor leaks, runs dry, or the element is switched on accidentally, then the tank will melt and pose a fire risk. Always keep a fire extinguisher to hand around the processor. Unlike other manufacturers systems, this kit features a 16-Element Oilybits Static Mixer, which will ensure a completely homogenous 100% mix of the ingredients going through it, leading to a far greater purity of fuel over standard "slosh" or "velocity" mixing, a Static Mixer can best be described as a rod onto which 16 small propellors are welded, so the liquid is churned over and over as it goes past each propellor. The system also features a branch upstream of the pump, into which Methoxide can be drawn by the suction of the pump. By adjusting the valves to the Methoxide and Vegetable Oil Inlets, the mixture can be controlled so that the Methoxide is never "neat" in the system, and this thereby reduces the risk of flammable liquid being present in the Processor

The kit is supplied with an Oilybits Misting Kit, which will enable water washing of the cooled, settled, and drained raw bio diesel, by connecting the mister to a standard 1/2"ID Garden Hose. This could also be plumbed into the pump, or a secondary pump with some additional fittings to circulate water.

The kit is supplied with a Filtered (1 Micron) outlet which can then be conected to post-production purification equipment, such as an Ion Exchange Resin Tower, or Filter, or a simple Dispensing Nozzle (None of which are included with this kit but are optional extras shown in bottom image)

A tail is provided to form a vent, and can be attached to a length of 3/4" hose (not supplied) if venting to outside is desirable
