Breakaway connectors are designed to be installed on fuel dispensing hoses and will seperate when subjected to a designated pull force. The dual valves seat automatically, preventing fuel spillage and preventing damage to the fuel dispensing equipment. A reconnectable coupling can be re-used after seperation, this is simple and requires pushing both halves of the valve together until a click is heard.
For proper operation, the TDW 250 must always be installed with a "straightening" hose with a minimum length of 9", and will breakaway with a pull force less than 250 lbs
NOT for the general disconection of hoses, this coupling requires a seperating force in excess of what is possible to exert by human strength
