Breakaway connectors are designed to be installed on fuel dispensing hoses and will seperate when subjected to a designated pull force. The dual valves seat automatically, preventing fuel spillage and preventing damage to the fuel dispensing equipment
For proper operation, the TDW BC-A 3/4" must always be installed with a "straightening" hose with a minimum length of 9", and the TDW BC-A 1" must be installed with a "straightening" hose with a minimum length of 12". The TDW-BC will breakaway with a pull force less than 250 lbs. The TDW BC-A 1" will breakaway with a pull force less than 300 lbs
NOT for the general disconection of hoses, this coupling requires a seperating force in excess of what is possible to exert by human strength
